Hamptons Juried Builds Momentum Ahead of Inaugural Exhibition at ARC Fine Art

New juried exhibition for East End artists reports strong early response; submissions remain open through October 5 for The Energy of Light

AMAGANSETT, NY, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Hamptons Juried, a new juried art exhibition created to recognize artists with ties to Long Island’s East End, is gaining significant momentum ahead of its inaugural exhibition, opening October 30, 2026, at ARC Fine Art in Amagansett.

With submissions still open, the exhibition has already drawn an enthusiastic response from artists across the North Fork and South Fork, underscoring the depth of creative talent working throughout the East End and the need for a professionally presented juried platform dedicated to the region’s artists.

This year’s theme, The Energy of Light, invites artists to explore light as subject, material, metaphor, atmosphere, and emotional force. A theme deeply connected to the East End’s artistic history and enduring appeal to generations of artists.

“From the beginning, we felt there was a real opportunity to create something that celebrates the extraordinary artists working across the East End in a serious, thoughtful, and professionally presented way,” said Kurt Giehl, co-founder of Hamptons Juried. “The response so far has been incredibly encouraging. It tells us that artists are excited for a platform that brings together artistic rigor, gallery presentation, and the larger creative community of the North and South Forks.”

Selected works will be reviewed by a distinguished independent jury representing a range of perspectives across the art, gallery, design, and cultural worlds:

• Adrienne Ruger Conzelman, founder of ARC Fine Art, the exhibition’s host gallery, and a former American Paintings specialist at Christie’s
• Fairfax Dorn, co-founder of Ballroom Marfa and Principal of Fairfax Dorn Projects, who serves on the boards of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Judd Foundation, among others
• Coco Myers, founder of folioeast and author of Light, Sand, and Sea: Hamptons Artists and Their Studios
• David Netto, interior designer and writer whose work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Architectural Digest, and Town & Country

“Bringing together jurors with this range of perspective gives the exhibition real strength,” said Giehl. “The work will be considered through multiple lenses: artistic merit, originality, execution, and connection to the theme.”

The inaugural exhibition will feature a juried selection of original works by East End artists, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Awards will include:
• Best in Show, which comes with a solo exhibition at ARC Fine Art in spring 2027, a
• $1,000 Juror’s Choice Award; and a
• People’s Choice Award, voted on by exhibition visitors

The exhibition will run from October 30 through November 28, 2026, with an opening reception on Friday, October 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A portion of proceeds from the exhibition will benefit Springs Food Pantry.

Artists may submit up to three works for consideration. Submissions remain open through October 5, 2026.
