SmartSites Named to the 2026 NJBIZ Top 100 Privately Owned Companies List

The Paramus digital marketing agency is featured on a revenue-ranked list that NJBIZ cut from 250 companies to 100 for 2026.

PARAMUS, NJ, UNITED STATES, October 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SmartSites just landed a spot on the 2026 NJBIZ Top 100 Privately Owned Companies list. Brothers Alex Melen and Michael Melen started the digital marketing agency here in 2011. SmartSites now serves clients nationwide, across all 50 states, for services such as organic SEO, PPC advertising, web design, social media, and email and SMS marketing. The agency ranked No. 27 on this year’s list, and No. 105 on the 2024 Top 250 Privately Held Companies list.

NJBIZ Shrinks Its 2026 Privately Owned Companies List From 250 Firms to Just 100
This year is the first time that NJBIZ has capped its revenue ranking at 100 companies; previous editions ran 250 deep. Topping the 2026 Top 100 Privately Owned Companies report is SHI International, with $16 billion in total global revenue for 2025. SmartSites is one of the 100 companies on the 2026 list.

SmartSites Lands at No. 27 for Medium-Sized Employers, NJBIZ Reports
SmartSites ranked No. 27 out of 61 honorees in the medium-sized employer category, and has also been named one of NJBIZ’s 2026 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The two NJBIZ honors measure very different things: one ranks by revenue, the other by what it’s like to actually work there. SmartSites made both lists in the same year.

“NJBIZ ranks this list by revenue, and with only 100 places the one way onto it is to grow,” said Alex Melen, co-founder of SmartSites. “Michael and I started this agency in New Jersey in 2011. Being on the Top 100 and Best Places to Work in the same year tells us the business and the people building it have grown together.”

NJBIZ placed SmartSites at No. 105 on its 2024 Top 250 Privately Held Companies list. That edition was the last of its kind, before NJBIZ trimmed the ranking down to just 100 companies for 2026.
