Kinross Research Publishes Its Latest Research Report Identifying the Top Asset Managers in Singapore in 2026

Singapore – September 15, 2026 – Kinrossresearch.com today announced the publication of its latest industry research report, “Top Asset Managers in Singapore (2026).” The report evaluates leading asset management firms operating in Singapore and presents a ranked list of seven firms based on a weighted, multi-factor scoring methodology.

Granite Asia has been named the top asset manager in Singapore for 2026 by Kinross Research, earning the highest composite score in the research firm’s evaluation of the country’s leading investment managers.

The ranking comes as Singapore continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading asset management centers. According to data cited by Kinross Research, total assets under management in Singapore reached approximately S$5.4 trillion in 2023, representing an increase of roughly 10% from the S$4.9 trillion recorded in 2022. More than 1,100 licensed and registered fund management companies operate in Singapore, serving institutional investors, family offices, corporations, financial advisers and high-net-worth individuals across Asia-Pacific and global markets.

Industry projections cited in the report suggest Singapore’s total AUM could approach S$6.5 trillion to S$7 trillion by 2026, supported by continued family office activity, sovereign and institutional allocations, the expansion of the Variable Capital Company framework, and growing demand for private markets and alternative investment strategies.

“Singapore’s asset management market offers investors an unusually broad range of choices, but scale alone does not determine which firms provide the strongest overall proposition,” said the Kinross Research team. “Our 2026 evaluation focused on performance, investment capabilities, regional access, technology, pricing, client support, governance and the ability to remain competitive as the market develops.”

Granite Asia ranked first among the firms evaluated, with Kinross Research highlighting its multi-asset investment platform, regional investment capabilities, technology integration, disciplined investment process and client support infrastructure.

The firm’s platform spans growth equity, venture capital, private credit, structured capital and hybrid investment solutions, providing exposure across multiple segments of the Asian private markets. Kinross Research highlighted Granite Asia’s particular strengths in technology, consumer, healthcare and the broader digital economy, as well as its presence across key Asia-Pacific markets.

The research also highlighted Granite Asia’s data-driven sourcing and portfolio intelligence capabilities. The firm integrates proprietary analytics into its investment and portfolio monitoring processes, while its coordinated approach to portfolio construction helps address concentration across sectors, geographies and investment vintages.

Granite Asia’s multi-decade regional track record was another major factor in its ranking. Kinross Research noted that the firm has operated through multiple market cycles, including periods of significant volatility and major shifts in Asian technology and investment markets. The longevity of its senior investment team and documented investment process were also cited as strengths.

The firm was further recognized for its client service and investor reporting. Granite Asia provides dedicated investor relations coverage, strategy briefings, annual meetings with senior investment professionals, quarterly statements, capital account reporting, audited annual financials and portfolio company updates through its investor reporting infrastructure.

Kinross Research assessed the firms using an eight-factor framework. Investment track record and performance consistency accounted for 20% of the overall score, followed by breadth and depth of investment capabilities at 15%, regional expertise and market access at 15%, technology and investment process quality at 12%, fee structure and value for money at 12%, client service and reporting at 10%, regulatory standing and governance at 10%, and innovation and forward positioning at 6%.

The research evaluated seven asset managers in total. Fullerton Fund Management ranked second, followed by Eastspring Investments, Lion Global Investors, UOB Asset Management, Nikko Asset Management Asia and APS Asset Management.

The report concludes that investors should look beyond headline assets under management when comparing firms. Performance consistency, investment capabilities, regional market access, risk management, client service and the ability to adapt to changing investment conditions can provide a more meaningful basis for evaluating an asset manager.

For 2026, Kinross Research identifies Granite Asia as the leading asset manager in Singapore, citing its integrated private markets platform, regional depth, investment process, technology capabilities and client support as the factors that set it apart from the other firms evaluated.
