Former Deloitte sustainability leader to lead ESG Controller Support as a Managed Service alongside Michael Barry who leads SR Inc’s new Comprehensive Compliance Collaborative
More than a dozen current global member-clients have requested additional assistance mastering mandatory reporting globally, including Keysight Technologies, Pegasystems and PTC.
BOSTON, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sustainability Roundtable, Inc. (SR Inc) today announced that Steve Siravo, CPA, has joined the firm as Senior Director to lead its Managed Services business, beginning with ESG Controller Support services. Siravo will work alongside Michael Barry, Managing Director, who has been appointed to lead SR Inc’s new Comprehensive Compliance Collaborative (CCC).
SR Inc’s Sustainable Business & Enterprise Roundtable has served more than 100 Fortune 500 and global growth companies for more than a decade. More than a dozen current global member-clients have requested additional assistance in meeting the challenge of mastering mandatory reporting globally, with leading companies including Keysight Technologies, Pegasystems and PTC.
A changing market requires a different operating model
The sustainability reporting market has changed dramatically. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has proposed rescinding its federal climate disclosure rule, the European Union has narrowed the scope of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and adopted substantially simplified reporting standards. Meanwhile, California is moving forward with mandatory corporate greenhouse gas reporting, and more than 35 jurisdictions globally have adopted the International Financial Regulation Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosure Standards and 11 more jurisdictions have announced their intention to join them.
The result is a rapidly changing global picture wherein the requirements of mandatory reporting are less immediately demanding and more dynamic. In nations around the world, there is a continually evolving set of requirements that need to be monitored, interpreted, implemented, documented and, increasingly, supported by evidence and assurance.
Historically, companies have often responded to each new reporting requirement by launching a discrete project with a major accounting, consulting or law firm. Those firms remain important where specialized legal advice, technical expertise or independent assurance is required. But repeatedly relying on premium outside specialists for day-to-day monitoring, implementation and evidence management can be an expensive way to manage what has become a recurring, global, corporate responsibility.
SR Inc has designed its new Compliance Collaborative and related Managed Services around a different model.

“Steve has been leading at the intersection of global standards change and enterprise decarbonization for years. He is already helping SR Inc’s remarkable member-clients understand how to avoid multiple, unnecessary, six-figure costs, as our team helps Directors of Corporate Sustainability advance their companies’ multi-stakeholder value creation in a world that is challenged as never before.” Jim Boyle, CEO & Founder, SR Inc |
Shared intelligence, company-specific execution
The Comprehensive Compliance Collaborative, led by Michael Barry, provides a shared intelligence and decision-support layer for companies navigating mandatory reporting. Members gain access to regulatory monitoring, expert interpretation, implementation guidance and peer perspectives on issues many companies are addressing at the same time.
SR Inc’s Managed Services, led by Siravo, provide the company-specific execution layer. The initial offering, ESG Controller Support services, helps companies translate reporting requirements and management decisions into defined ownership, repeatable processes, controls, documentation, evidence and assurance readiness.
Together, the model provides shared intelligence where the problem is common and dedicated support where the answer is company-specific, leveraging required reporting spend into stronger evidence and a more strategic Corporate Sustainability function.
Barry brings a distinct perspective to CCC after 17 years as an executive at Bloomberg and as an SR Inc member-client before joining the firm.

“Over 17 years at Bloomberg as a Corporate Sustainability leader, I learned how SR Inc could turn a modest spend into strategic leverage. Mandatory reporting now makes that spend necessary. A radically lower cost, better evidenced, human-led solution helps the senior Corporate Sustainability executive call the audit meeting instead of being called into it, and make a more strategic contribution to the company’s global success.” Michael Barry, Managing Director, SR Inc |
Building the managed services layer
Siravo joins SR Inc after serving as a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance Sustainability practice and as a secondee to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol team at World Resources Institute. A CPA, he has advised global companies on sustainability reporting, greenhouse gas accounting, internal controls, regulatory readiness and assurance.
|
“The hardest part of mandatory reporting is rarely producing another assessment. It is turning requirements into decisions, ownership, repeatable processes, controls and evidence that can stand up over time and through assurance. Managed Services is being built around that operating need, giving companies access to experienced support without recreating a large consulting engagement every time something changes.” Steve Siravo, Senior Director, SR Inc |
Siravo will initially focus on scaling ESG Controller Support services while building SR Inc’s broader Managed Services capabilities around mandatory reporting.
Member-client demand is shaping the model
More than a dozen current global member-clients have requested additional support with mandatory reporting. Keysight Technologies, Pegasystems and PTC are among the companies moving forward with the Comprehensive Compliance Collaborative and company-specific ESG Controller Support services.
It is a shared-cost model that enables companies to continuously monitor and adept to changing requirements, determine what applies, implement and document decisions, operate appropriate controls, maintain supporting evidence and prepare for independent assurance.
By combining the leverage of a member collaborative with human-led, AI supported, managed services, SR Inc Compliance Collaborative turns the now required spend on reporting into an ongoing capability that is radically lower cost and better evidenced, to empower Corporate Sustainability’s contribution to global business success.
